What FLUX is good at
FLUX is the model people reach for when an image has to pass as a photograph: a product on marble with believable reflections, a portrait where the skin has texture instead of plastic, an interior where the light comes from somewhere. It follows composition instructions closely, so "the mug on the left, the window behind it, morning light from the right" tends to come back the way you described it.
Its other strength is editing without starting over. Kontext and FLUX 2 change what you ask for and leave the rest of the picture alone. Fill replaces only the area you paint, and Expand adds picture around the edges, which is handy when a square shot needs to become a banner.

tips
Getting better results
- 01Describe the light. "Overcast window light" or "single rim light from behind" changes a FLUX image more than another adjective about the subject.
- 02Edit with short instructions. "Swap the background for a beach" works better in Kontext than re-describing the whole picture.
- 03Use a seed when you like a composition. The same seed and prompt give a similar picture, so you can change one word at a time and compare.
- 04Reach for Fill when only one thing is wrong. Repainting a hand or a label costs 60 tokens and leaves everything else exactly as it was.
- 05If the result looks too glossy, try FLUX 1.1 Ultra Raw for a more natural finish.
